Change. Transition. Culture. Relationships.

These past couple of weeks have been full of goodbyes & packing. On the 14th I left for Costa Rica. Before that I was in Romania for 7 days with my family to visit some friends & see their ministry. We stayed at a house right next to an orphanage that our pastor friend in Romania is in charge of. Need. That's what I see in the lives around me. The need for the gospel, discipleship, etc. Sometimes seeing so much hurt & pain in the world can be so overwhelming. But I was reminded that I am not the savior of the world....Christ is. That my duty is to be faithful & FULLY obedient where he has me. This past week in Costa Rica our team has been busy preparing for the 24 students arriving on August 24th. One of my job roles this year is going to be meal planning/buying food for 40 people. I'm excited for this next year & also a little nervous. Not knowing what to expect can be difficult. Philippians 4:6 has been such a good reminder these last few days. {{Do not be anxious about ANYTHING, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.}} Prayer: 1. That through the business of transition I will rely on God's grace & be in daily prayer for others in my life. 2. That the students would be open and have teachable hearts toward Christ. 3. That this year would be marked by obedience to Christ. Praises: 1. The never changing character of God 2. The HOPE found in the gospel for all people 3. A great 1st week in Costa Rica 🇨🇷

One of girls in Romania that I was able to become really good friends with.

In Costa Rica I was able to go to one of my favorite places, Tirrases, and see all the kiddos/teens that I did ministry with last year❤️

In Tirrases.
