Monthly Update

Here’s an update on camps, class, life, and the lovely Super Bowl Party we had on Sunday night.

Right after Christmas break we had camps for the first two weeks in January. This year I was in Tirrases camp. Tirrases was where I went last year every Saturday to help run a kids club and youth group so being able to do one week of camp with the niños and the next week with the jóvenes from there was such a sweet blessing. The first week we had day camps in Tirrases where we played, sang, danced, ate, and taught kids about Christ’s love and redemption through the stories of men like Jonah. On the last day of camp we were able to take all the kids to a swimming pool. THIS WAS SO EXCITING FOR THEM. For some of them camp in the past was the 1st time they ever saw a pool. Second week of camp the youths kids from Tirrases joined up with youth kids from Los Guido(another ministry we have) for one week of learning about sexuality, what it was created for, and how we can glorify God with it. That week we got to see God do some really cool things. All the jóvenes at camp have never seen a marriage that didn’t end in divorce. So being able to talk through marriage, what it represents, and God’s everlasting covenant love was beneficial not only for them but also for me. We saw God bring healing and confession of sin to many of the youth kids. I was in the kitchen the whole week with two cocineras. The past two weeks have been a normal week of classes and getting back into the daily schedule routine. My Tuesday night Bible study is going through the book of Ephesians. So blown away by God's grace and how much we have and who I am in Christ. There is so much HOPE found in the name of Jesus.

{{Ephesians 1}} 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
